I write this in English as my Danish is not that good!

I live in Denmark, I want to buy pills from an online European pharmacy (it's cheaper + no prescription required)
I would need a prescription to buy them here in Denmark (and I don't have a prescription for those).

The website/pharmacy in question claims:
"Do you guarantee delivery to European countries?
Yes, we ensure success delivery our medicines to European countries. All our medicines for European countries are delivery from our European branches. The post between European countries does not go through customs terminals."

Is there any truth in this?

Do you guys think I will get into trouble with the Danish customs if I order from that company?

This post might be misunderstood.
I'm not asking where to get subscription medication or how to break the law.
I'm asking for a legal advice as I'm not familiar with the Danish laws.

Usually mail from other EU-countries doesn't go through customs as overseas parcels or those from especially India, Pakistan and Thailand but some random checks are performed, however the risk is negliable...
Importing medicine that needs prescription in Denmark is an offense, though, so if your parcel gets caught, there probably will be some repercussions of it...

When they say that their parcels do not go through customs, they probably mean that they're importing the medicine themselves somehow rather than sending them by official mail services. Even though, as Nomad writes, parcels from European Union countries do not go through regular customs, I have still experienced random checks of EU parcels - they DO have to check for illegal substances after all, EU or not, so any parcels sent through the public mail system will be susceptible to a check of some sort.

I think you should e-mail them and ask just how they send their goods. Because even if they DO import them themselves by road or plane or whatever, customs might still grab 'em when crossing the border. The fact that they guarantee delivery just means that they'll send another one if one package gets caught or otherwise fails to show up.

Kuzuri, you said you have experienced random checks... did they confiscate the parcels and fine you?

That is extremely seldom that happens from within the E.U., Kuzuri. Was is the ordinary Danish LL from LMS (DKMA) or??

p13, what happens if you try to import (i.e. have sent to you) to Denmark, and it gets taken, one of two things will happen.

Either DKMA will determine that there is "small amount" (largest I have had a LL on, was about 100 or so tablets, nothing higher scheduled than tramadol), and send you a letter, asking you to submit any documents before they make a decision - basically, here you would do nothing. After the time, you will receive another letter from DKMA, stating that they consider your importation in violation of Law of Medicines (Lægemiddelloven; Lov om lægemidler), and that their "sentence" (they cannot sentence, they are not a court) is that you refrain from doing it again. If this is the case, the police are never involved. The package will also be sent to you as normal (however, was it a parcel which did not require signature, signature will be required), just without the meds, and with a slip from SKAT (customs), declaring what was in the package, and that they are checking it. A week or so after, you will get the first LL as noted earlier. There does not seem to be a database of their earlier LL's, however, I am in no position to know this 100%.

Or DKMA will determine that there is a "large amount" and/or "specially bad" medicine (I would think it depens on the Danish schedule, but I am not sure). If that is the case, you will not receive your package nor a letter, and DKMA will notify the police. If it is first time and the police consider it a small thing (i.e. they do not suspect you of dealing, it is up to their discretion what they do). The police will also always be contacted by DKMA if the medicines are covered by Law on some doping aids (Lov om visse dopingmidler).

I have even had DKMA split one parcel, so that I received LL for some part of the parcel (the notice did not mention the doping medicines), and the police contacted me some time after, just wanting to hear if I would talk or not.

I am extremely glad i like i DK, and not US. I wouldn't say they're lax, but they're as lax as they can get away with.

Short answer, if sent and received within the E.U., I wouldn't worry. If it's not highly scheduled, and not a largish amount, then I definately wouldn't worry.

To be honest, I haven't had any medicine sent to me - just a LOT of packages with random stuff from all over Europe (inside and outside the EU), mainly from eBay. And though Psyduv says it's rare, it happens - out of 10 parcels, I think 1-2 of mine got inspected.

But like Psyduv also writes - if it's not a huge amount and not anything worse than Tramadol or something of that caliber, you'll be okay, and you shouldn't have to cough up money for a fine. I still say go ahead and try, but be aware that you MIGHT lose the money you pay for it.
Good luck, man.:)

Also, the competition is quite good, so even if it is taken, most vendors will happily refund you or reship to a new addr.

I would think - do not know - that the only thing inside-EU postal check is looking for is liquids (like GBL) or something other that ticks, read bad terrorist shit. However, I would also imagine they do random checks, but if it's 1 o/oo or 1% I have no clue.

You do write that this is regarding medication - if it is chemicals (say, diazepam powder or 2c-x and whatnot) I would imagine SKAT/International Postal Center will send it to the police. DKMA will definately not be involved in that.
