Citat:
This Saturday (Feb.9) at 15.00 at Husets Bio we follw up on our successful "Sex in the Classroom" show with a companion program entitled "DRUGS IN THE CLASSROOM" which features the most dramatic and far-out drug 'scare-films' that were shown to students in American schools in the late 60's and early 70's. Experience the extremes of psychedelic abandon as well as the brutal reality of wayward teens laid low for a mere 50kr. ticket price. Answer this e-mail (jack.stevenson [at] mail.dk) to make reservations, see below for descriptions of specific films.
Total runing time: approx 80-85 minutes
THE PILL POPPERS - 1972, 15 min., color, Sid Davis production tells stories of three teenagers who experiment with pills and (1) go insane, (2) Die, (3) finally reject it.
LSD-25: 1967, 25 min., color, this curiousity is supposedly narrated by "the voice of LSD" itself as we see re-enactments of the list of horrors that befall hallucinating teens, and yet film also admits that LSD can be a wonderful experience. Strange indeed.
NARCOTICS: PIT OF DESPAIR, 1967, 30 minutes, the ultimate extreme drug-scare classic tells the tale of a good high school kid who goes from pills to pot to heroin before you can say "reefer madness," losing his good-looking girlfriend and sports car in the process. Horrors!
CASE STUDIES: MARIJUANA, HEROIN & AMPHETAMINE'S - Produced by The Lockheed Aircraft Company to disuade employees from sinking into a hell of drug use, these dramatically narrated 5 minute shorts combine psychedelic effects with supposedly 'real-life' stories.
