Two charged over drugs haul
A man and a woman have appeared at a special court charged in connection with a major drugs find in County Antrim.
The appearance related to Northern Ireland's largest ever seizure of amphetamines, made by police near Ballymena on Wednesday.
Mark Surgenor, 30, from Racavan Road in Broughshane, and Deborah Bothwell, 35, of Kinbane Crescent in Greenisland appeared in court in Ballymena on Friday.
They were charged with having amphetamines with intent to supply.
The court heard that 50kgs of the drug was found in two holdalls in the boot of a car during a police search.
The accused were both remanded in custody to appear in court again next month.
